Vegetable Oil Fuel Braintree: Using Grease In A Car

By Toni Howe

As gas prices continue to escalate people are increasingly on the lookout for cheaper ways to power their car. One such way is to use vegetable oil fuel Braintree. This may be the future of automobile energy. Oil fuel Braintree

Any car that currently runs on diesel is a candidate for this type of alternative method. However, to properly use this method the vegetable oil must first have the viscosity lowered so that it does not do damage to the engine. There are two different types that most people enthusiasts point to.

One type comes from discarded cooking grease used at restaurants. People can collect this at a very cheap price and some places will even pay to have it removed, which is one of the main advantages. It is very viscous though and will only work with an engine that has been modified and even then there can be problems.

People can also use straight vegetable grease that has never been used before. Even though this is more expensive, it is still much cheaper than gas and is used in a diesel engine that has been altered. The diesel gas warms up the vegetable substance until it is thin enough to push through the engine.

There are only a few reasons why more people are not using this method. One is the upfront cost. A standard diesel engine must be altered before it will work and this can cost a few thousand dollars in some cases, although this money will surely be regained over time. Also, some states have higher taxes for these cars.

Vegetable oil fuel Braintree is becoming a viable option for those with diesel cars. Being so much cheaper that regular gas, the upfront expenses will be justified over time. This energy is also a more environmentally friendly option for those concerned with global warming.
