Helpful Manner Of Protecting Your Children From Bad Company

By David A Arkere

As my teenage child recently turned sixteen, I have to admit that my spouse and I have become ever more protective over our only child more than ever. We give her enough freedom to go out and spend time with her buddies. However, we have observed recently that she has become quite secretive of her actions.

She was always locked up inside her room and chatting on the web. What's even worse, she often took late-night phone calls from someone whose name we didn't recognize. We then decided to utilize audio surveillance systems for assistance or perhaps a telephone recording device of some sort.

We purchased a couple of audio surveillance devices on the internet. Because she now spent almost all of her time inside her room, we selected one item from a long line of digital phone/room recorders provided in online shops.

The phone recorder was simple enough. All we had to do was plug the battery-powered device into a phone jack and it started recording incoming and outgoing telephone conversations with the push of a button.

We also installed an amplified line level microphone with high gain on the desk within our young girl's room. This is so we can easily hear in on her chats on Skype or whenever she goes on live chat.

The small microphone was very simple to install. It has a standard RCA jack for easy audio connection and also a standard female barrel for power.

Besides the microphone on her desk as well as the phone recording device, we further employed the use of a phone manager that works double-time in comparison to a standard caller ID device. This user-friendly device is capable of saving as much as 2000 incoming calls and also 200 outgoing calls, and providing a time stamp to these telephone calls.

With much relief and with the help of the telephone recording device and other audio surveillance gadgets, we were able to find out the mystery of her friend. It turns out that our teenager had enlisted the assistance of a tutor to aid her with university entrance applications.
